HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD

1. To determine your head size, get a tape measure and put it around your head.

2. Place it where you want your hat to rest.

      Our Spokane Hatter says:

     1“ above your eyes, ¼-1/2” above your ears, and remember to measure lower on the

      upslope of the “lump” in back of your head where the hat will sit.

     3. Once you’ve found your spot, measure to the nearest one-eighth inch, or

         one-fourth centimeter. Pull the tape snug and see if it feels right. If not,

         try a little higher and a little lower until it feels just right. If it easily comes down

         below the tops of your ears, then it is too big. You want it snug.

4. Write down the measurement.

         What is the “correct” hat fit? Whatever feels right to you.

        A tighter-fitting hat stays on better when the trade winds gust.

        A looser-fitting hat is more comfortable.

        Some people like ’em high and tight, others lower and looser.

        It’s totally personal, totally up to you.

To convert your Head size to our Hat Sizes:

              Small = 21.5 inches or smaller               Medium = 22 ¼ inches

              Large = 23 inches                                     X-large = Greater than 23 7/8”
